Vintage Koken Barber Pole Advertising Sign Tonsorial Barbershop Straight Razor

Regular price $750.00 Sale

For your consideration is an original Koken Barber Supply Co barber pole advertising sign. I'm not sure of the exact model it's either a 5159 5164 or 5165. I estimate it to be from the late 1950's into the early 1960's. It measures approximately 30" tall, 9" diameter & stands 12" away from the wall or mounting surface. The four bolt holes on the bracket are approximately 4" center to center horizontally & 15" center to center vertically. The painted parts are powder-coated white for a long lasting clean look. The glass is solid & the single medium base light works. The vintage type-A motor runs smooth. The original nameplate placard with serial number 10524 is present but model is not legible. The top & bottom domes are in good condition with a few small dings. The indoor cord is not grounded & should be inspected by an electrician before use. The cord should be replaced if using outdoors. The only issue is the inner cylinder which has a cracked section near the bottom approximately 7" by 8" & shows its age, see pics. This cylinder is replaceable through the William Marvy company. Consider the pictures part of the description. No returns. Overall good condition for the collector or working barber shop. Any questions please ask before bidding.
